1 year old waking constantly

Hi all

My 1 year olds sleep seems to be getting worse. She started sleeping through around 3 months and that continued until she was 7/8 months bar the occasional dodgy week or 2 which I put down to regressions and teething.

Since around 8 months she has woken more and more frequently through the night. Started off as once or twice and now it can be around 6 times. Usually we have to pick her up and soothe her back to sleep (sometimes we are able leave her in the cot and shush her back to sleep but this is few and far between and takes a while)

This is impacting us now and we are dreading night time. We can’t even sit and watch TV together as she just constantly wakes.
For example; tonight I have put her down at 7 (have tried bringing bedtimes earlier and later and neither helped). She has woken crying by 7:30. This is normal for her. Last night we had to soothe her back to sleep 4 times between 8pm and midnight.

We don’t co sleep and don’t want to start. She is exclusively breastfed although I have got her down to 3 feeds a day and planning to drop another in the next week or so (I want to stop altogether in the new year)

Unsure of what to do, feeling really down and like a crap mum as I thought babies sleep was meant to get better around this age not worse. Feel like I’m doing something wrong. Any suggestions welcome.

We had a similar thing although mine was waking every 40 mins- hour. Sleep training saved my life.
