Right, in two weeks time i will become a full time mother (I hate that expression, it's like at the moment, when I'm at work or uni I'm not a mum anymore or something) for the summer to a demanding one year old. What can I do all day apart from drink gin and sing baa baa black sheep?

Check out www.wizziwizz.co.uk for loads of stuff in the Preston area to do. They list anything from soft play areas to farms to library story times etc. Just type in your post code and it lists it all for you.

Are things like that ok for a baby who isn't walking yet though?

cheeky monkeys has a special bit for babies that are crawling, and the jacket potatoes with coronation chicken are really nice!!!

Yes they're fine! So long as he's good at crawling he'll have a great time. Of all the soft play places in Preston, Cheeky Monkeys is the best one for babies, it's great for older kids too!

There's always the mum and baby groups if that's your thing! I go to a couple of nice ones (i'm a part time mum by the way )
