Hi there, I have two kids, nearly 2 and nearly 4, can anyone recommend a theatre show in London or Kent for both to go to? Is two, too young for theatre?

There’s a Peppa Pig show in London over Christmas!

Look out for ‘My first Ballet’ which is usually on in the spring.

Definitely not too young! About 6months ago I took my (then) 3.5yo and 12mo to see Fireman Sam at the theatre and they both absolutely loved it!

When my eldest was 2.5yo I took them to see Tales of Acorn Wood and it was fabulous! It was so engaging and a really good pace too. It lasted 1hr but in four blocks of 15m and interactive for kids. They tour the show frequently so definitely check out when it's on next near you.

Any of the shows based on Julia Donaldson books would be great, I think there’s a few in Central London

also the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon or Unicorn Theatre Southwark are worth a look

Look for anything by Tall Stories: all their shows are great for toddlers and they tour everywhere.

My youngest is 20 now so it's been a while but we all still know all the song words from Room on the Broom and Gruffalo's child.

Unicorn theatre London Bridge. Also the puppet theatre on a barge at Little Venice.

Yes, 2 is too young.

We go to the theatre a lot with my 2 yo. We've been to most of the ones mentioned, a few others that have good kids shows are Half Moon, Artsdepot, Jackson's Lane, Lyric Hammersmith, Southbank Centre, Alexandra Palace, Peacock. There are lots of good shows during November/December.

If you are doing a day trip I'd recommend Little Angel and booking one of their workshops on the same day. But check the age recommendations.
