Sorry if this isn’t the best place to post!

where would you travel to with a 6m old and 2.5 year old?
dying to get a holiday booked, need recommendations.. prefer warm places with access to beach!

I could go to California to see family and holiday out there but the idea of a long haul flight with 2 under 3 sounds chaotic?

As long as you remember that holidays are now just childcare in a different location Wink

A beach holiday with a 6 month old will be tricky. They are mobile enough to get into the sand and it goes in mouth and eyes, and you’re done with the beach in 5 minutes. It would work if there’s 2 of you and you can split up and one of you take the toddler and the other goes for a walk in the shade with baby.

I found city breaks worked well at that age. You can get out to days out rather that lounging about a resort trying to keep everyone entertained. There are lots of playgrounds. If you choose wisely you’ll also have a beach. I also got to go to museums I enjoyed too especially with a baby who can just come along for the ride. We’ve done both Barcelona and Valencia and these worked great. Barcelona is particularly pushchair friendly. Neither are going to be boiling hot in winter though.

What time of year? Next summer and I'd go to Menorca. I'd stay in an apartment as part of a hotel complex with a splash pool. We stayed at Mestral and Lleibeig apartments with similar age kids. It wasn't high end luxury but worked well.

Go somewhere the toddler will enjoy. If they are happy, you will be happy and the baby doesn't give two hoots where they are as long as they are with you.

Mallorca - short flight, only 1hr time difference so you can keep them on their own time, nice weather, pool and beach.

Although I would echo PP in that the beach is bloody awful with a crawler. DD got sand in every nook and cranny and then got some pretty bad nappy rash. We stayed by the pool after that!

Also if you're overwhelmed by choice just contact a travel agent with what you're looking for and see what they recommend. Can't believe I'd never done that before this summer!
