Stop toddler opening taps in the bath

Im hoping someone will provide a solution on how i can lock my taps during bath time!! DS 21 months, continues to open hot and cold taps and no matter how much distraction he treats it as a game and goes back.

I need to prevent him being scalded by hot water.

I don’t know if there’s a more sophisticated product you can buy but if you can’t find anything, how about just a releasable cable tie? I guess he could just slip it off but it might deter him if he’s not too determined…?

I put a hair bobble across the handles so that when he tried to open them he didn’t have the strength to pull against the bobble

Don't distract. Just stop him every single time with a boring "no". He'll get fed up. Say no and immediately start playing with bath toys. There is no chance he's more stubborn than an adult who wants him to stay safe. He'll get fed up before you do.
