Hi everyone. My son has just turned 2 . He still uses a dummy at night only. Recently , he has been throwing the dummies ( has a few in the cot ) out the cot and then screaming and becoming hysterical shouting ' dummy , dummy , my dummy '. So he's essentially throwing them out but then wants them again. I have tried going in, not saying a word and putting them back in but he just becomes more and more upset to the point of no return.
I have also tried no dummy but he becomes very distressed to the point where he is coughing and nearly vomiting.
Has anyone experienced similar behaviour or have any advice as to what to do ?
He is still in his cot in a sleeping bag.
