Hi i hope someone can give us advice here please
I do apologies its really long. If you dont have nothing nice to say please dont say it.
My partner of 6 years had a son with someone else before he got with me. 2 years ago my partners son was taken from his mother and his step father at the time, this was due to neglect (bed sheets not getting changed for months, animal feaces everywhere, kids answering the doors to strangers) anyway, my partners and i fought to get custody of his son however this was denied because the kids was sent back.
During that time my partners sons mother and step father got divorced, he turned his life around bought a house. Fast forward to a month ago my partners son’s mother was arrested for abuse and neglect, (the kids got chained to a tree at 2am in the morning, being physically abused) so the kids are currently with the step father. Now me and my partners want to fight for custody again, because enough is enough. We are waiting to hear off social services. But we are wondering what could be done? The step father has offered my partners son to us but we just dont wanna take him without knowing we wont get in trouble. We have 4 children of our own. Partners son is 8 and he feels as tho no one loves him apart from his dad and me, partners son has said he wants to come and live with us. So we are trying to find out our next steps without getting in trouble.
