We started potty training our girl, 9 weeks ago at age 2 year 9 months.
We did bare bum the first full 4 days. Then she had no undies just trousers at nursery for 2 days, then back to bare bum for another 5 days, before nursery with pants 2 days. Then mostly naked at home as she loves being naked haha.
Anyway it took a while, but on week 4, she had her first no accident day, and 2 no accident days total, even on some full days out. Week 5, 6 and 7 there were 4-5 no accident days, even at nursery. Even a full week of no accidents and dry overnight for 5 nights (waking 5am for potty, or desperate to get nappy off to pee on waking at 7/7.45am). Even at the supermarket "I need toilet", and held it til I found it.
Then, all of a sudden we're in a regression, seemingly out of the blue. Week 8, basically every pee and most poos are accidents. Refusing potty, then peeing in pants. Getting angry "don't want my potty", throwing it or tirning upside down.
Week 9. A few days in, I tried a sticker chart (we just did praise the first time). Even get a sticker for sitting on potty - it didn't work. I bribed her on potty with chocolate, trying gets 1, using it gets another. Kept up the sticker chart anyway. On friday, she used the potty in the afternoon on her own, no accident, for the first time in around 1.5 weeks. But, sat and sun (yesterday), refusing potty and asking for nappy, crying when about to pee, I sort of force her onto it whilst cuddling her 1 sec before massive pee. Only use of potty that day
Last week she had very painful poos, complaining bottom hurting. Was in tears pooping. She wasn't drinking as her tongue is sore from ulcers. stool softener and syringing squash into her, with liquidy foods helped. But 2 weeks later she's still hardly drinking. So only having 3-4 pees in a day (wet nappy removed, 8.30 accident, 1.30 on potty by cuddling her onto it, 6.30 accident)
I just don't know what to do. It seems stupid to put her back in nappies, when she had 2 amazing weeks of virtually no accidents, dry overnight 5 days, and now nearly 3...
But it's "I don't want sticker", "I don't want chocolate". I even tried bribing her with Peppa Pig (her absolute obsession) if she sat on potty to just try.
I did wonder if she had a UTI, as labia type area was sore, thought of ringing doc today, but she's not sore anymore, other than her tongue
