Sudden seperation anxiety - 2y9m old

Hi all, hopefully someone might have some advice that can help! Our son is currently 2y9m and has been attending a lovely nursery/preschool since he was 1.5y. He goes every day for a few hours and he truly loves it. The teachers are wonderful, they all know him and are really sweet with him.

We are a few months into his second year here, however, and he has started crying when I drop him off. I work part time while he's at nursery, but have been busier lately as I now have another part time job in the evening 2-3 nights a week. He's used to spending time with my parents, an occasional nanny that he's close to, etc. so we are not always together and he's comfortable with others. When I go to the second job, he stays with them and has lots of people around.

Recently, however, his seperation anxiety has really peaked. He cries at drop off, wakes up loads throughout the night, and is generally just so much whinier and clingier than ever before. It's getting quite frustrating and hard to figure out. He's been a great sleeper for a long time and used to be excited to go to nursery. It's getting exhausting trying to figure out what's going on.

If anyone has any advice or went through something similar, I'd appreciate all the help we can get :)

It might just be the change I rountine and he could settle down again soon with lots of reassurance and lots of cuddle time.
