Moved to a new area

Hi, I'm new to this.
I have recently moved to a new area with my 2 children to be with my partner. I have also recently found out I'm pregnant making finding a job difficult.
I'm struggling at the minute with things to do and how to meet new people.
There's plenty of mum/baby groups Iv found but nothing for pregnant women or even women during school hours. It seems I'll be alone until my baby's born in April at this rate.

Check your local family hub (was called surestart) they normally run a bump and babies group so you could attend as a bump

Maybe you could volunteer at the school or pre school

If you're thinking of BFing at all you can go along to your local BFing Group, you don't have to wait until baby arrives Wink

Is there anything near you like Aquanatal or Pregnancy Yoga?

And I don't know how you feel about volunteering but finding out where the local playgroups are and offering to help out at one should help you to meet some local Mums.

If your DC are in school can you invite one of the other DC along for a play after school and ask their Mum if she'd like to come too for a cuppa?

How about doing a course too?

Realistically, most women who are pregnant without small children at home are probably busy during the day, either working or with caring responsibilities or are too unwell to be out meeting people. If you don’t have a child to care for, I’d look to volunteer. You could volunteer at the school or with the PTA, take a pregnancy yoga or fitness class, or realistically, I’d look for work. There are lots of seasonal jobs coming up which may turn into something more.
