What's normal for a small baby?

Do you remember what your child/children were like when they were very little?

Is it unusual for a 2 week old to be smiling? Or sleeping for 8 hours at 9 weeks old?

Please be honest.

it is not unusual for 2wk old to be smiling tho most people wil put it down to wind and try and burp poor baby

Think it might be unusual about the sleeping but def not unheard of DD1 was (is) a great sleeper and would sleep 7pm-6am from about 8/9 weeks. My 6 week old can manage about a 7 hour sleep at night in one go.

DD1 didn't smile til about 7 / 8 weeks though and DD2 hasn't smiled at 6 weeks.

Mine could all do 8 hours from somewhere between 8 and 12 weeks. My PFB practically never woke at night again after 8 weeks, the others were steadily less obliging with each child.

Thanks for all your replies.

I didn't think it was anything unusual as my own smiled early and slept through early but have a mad (and I really do mean MAD) SIL who has a pfb and is driving us all insane with the constant pfb-ing!

God, I could rant about this for days.
