How do you deal with the bickering?

I have two DC, 11 and 12 and they bicker constantly. Just always needling each other, winding the other up, name calling, poking, on and on.

Its more noticeable in the holidays as I take them out and feel like every activity is ruined by their behaviour, and me constantly separating them or telling them off.

It's only Tuesday of half term and I feel like we can't go out as a family.

Did any one else have this? How do you make it stop? Ignore them? Punish them more? Just stay at home?
I'm really at the end of my tether with it.

Honestly, we give them a lot of space and time from each other. Different spaces to be at home. Different activities on days out - Dh will take one and I’ll take the other. Just time away from each other.
