DS is 4 months and is teething.
He's constantly irritated and crying.
I've been looking at gels ect for soothing his gums but they say 6+ months.
Does anyone know of anything suitable for his age bracket?
I've tired putting his dummy in the fridge before giving to him

Ashton & Parsons gel! The applicator is a little silicone brush which seems to help pain as well. Matchstick monkey teethers are great, mine particularly likes the flat one straight from the fridge. On bad days I do calpol at bedtime. Good luck! X

Calpol.
Ask HV or GP if you worry about age and medication.

Are you sure he is teething? Around this age, babies do a lot of discoveries with their mouth, dribble loads, explore their hands in mouth, and tends to be more irritable as they start wanting to roll and move around but can't quite yet. Unless you see little teeth buds on the gums, I wouldn't really assume he's teething. Some babies also get a slight temperature and sometimes red cheeks, but not always.
Also, around this age, their sleep patterns mature, and changes from a 2 stage sleep, to a more complex, multi phase sleep with lighter sleep phases, if that makes sense. He might be irritable because of this too?

Thanks ladies, I'll give the Ashton and pearsons a go

@Ppzd hi , yes he is. He's a little nicu baby so has had extra assessments with HV, pediatrician ect for various reasons and I brought this up over the past few weeks with them and they said he's teething

Anbesol gel is amazing stuff and can be used from 5 months. Solidarity, OP. We are also in the thick of it with our 6mo and it is a bit of a nightmare for everyone at the minute.
