My baby used to be a good sleeper

Hi can anybody help or some advice would be much appreciated.

so my baby is 11 months old and has always been a brilliant sleeper the past month she has woke multiple times at night just screaming and standing up in her cot, the only way I can get her back down is by picking her up and rocking her around the house for sometimes two hours at night time which is exhausting but I've tried everything else.

she moved onto 1 nap a day quite quickly we've tried to give her two naps but she's refusing them now and she stands up and screams in her cot, she used to go down straight away.
she naps from 11-1.30 ish.
and bed time is 6.30.

I've tried the crying out method but she's to hysterical to do this and she gets so worked up, I've tried giving her milk also.

im hoping it's just a phase because I'm exhausted.

has anybody else been through this please?

thank you.

Is she learning to walk at the moment? Usually they go through this stage when they are trying to master a new skill.

Around age 1 was a nightmare for both my kids. Solidarity! Tried everything with 1st but nothing helped - after a couple of months she was a good sleeper again.

For second we did some sleep training at 13 months which was a game-changer. I'd hang in there and get past the leap phase before considering anything like that though.

I'd maybe keep trying with 2 naps as well, we found that "sleep begets sleep" was true, but all babies are different...

It really is!

I feel like she's never going to sleep again without been rocked around the house all evening it's draining.

ive tried so hard to not pick her out of her cot and rock her buts it's impossible right now 😭.

thank you

Also consider if she is teething? All the teeth that came through from that age onwards really bothered my DD and took much longer to come through then her early teeth. She was a great sleeper until around 12 months then the combination of constant teething and awful viruses coming home from nursery destroyed her good sleep. It was the best part of a year before she was in a good routine again.

Mine all did this when learning to walk. They are driven to practice! It's a difficult phase but it usually gets less in a week or two and then stops.

Good luck for tonight @dlouise95 Wink

Thanks everybody!

weve tried two naps today but she wouldn't have the second nap and is wide awake so maybe she has dropped to one nap.

i just hope it gets better.
