My child is 12 and has been suffering with this for years. Has anyone managed to solve this issue?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I thought I had when ds was diagnosed with t1d but it flares up when he's poorly.
I've tried everything from diets, to cutting out dairy, doing gluten free, doing a high fibre diet. To cutting out movicol/laxido and only using pico.
There must be something causing this for our kids but the drs don't seem interested in finding out what!

Movicol is the only thing that worked for my DS. Doctors said he would eventually grow out of it and he seems to have now at 14.

I do still consciously include lots of fibre in his diet though. Fruit smoothies for breakfast seem to help.

I wish I knew the answer, DS is 15 and I feel so frustrated. I tried a nutritionist a few years ago but he's autistic and won't change his diet significantly so we're a bit stuck.
