18 month old refusing to nap

My 18 month old has always been a good sleeper, she would go down for her midday nap pretty much straight away with no struggles but recently she is just point blank refusing it. She is always tired by about 3pm but I can't put her down at this time as she would then not go to bed at night. She would normally have a nap 12-1pm and this would see her through until 7:30pm when we take her to bed - any more day sleep than this would result in a difficult bed time.
I have read that they usually have an 18 month regression and the way I'm approaching it currently is by not forcing her to have a nap and allowing her to skip it. I do still try every day to put her down for one but at the moment she really fights them.
I just want to know if I am dealing with this the right way and will she eventually go back to having a midday nap again at some point, or is this the end of the naps?

My kids had these regressions but napped until they were four. If you can do anything to encourage sleep (walking with the buggy or a drive at the appropriate time) I would do that to keep up the rhythm

If you usually put her down at home in the cot try a long buggy walk? I had dc 13 months apart. Mornings consisted of walking until they bother dropped off. . Bliss. Peace. Never used cot for naps.

She won't nap in the buggy and will pull at the buckle until she can get out and walk, but I may try taking her for a drive and see if that works.
