Do I need to change my bottle teats ?

I’m currently using size 1 teat that the newborn bottles come with, but I’ve been noticing over the last week or so that when I’m feeding my daughter the teats are sucking in (not sure how to explain it) she’s 12 weeks old. I’ve looked online but can only find size 1 or size 3 teats which are for 6 months plus.. do I continue with the teats I have or do I move onto the next size ?

Which teats are they?

I’m currently using the tommee tippee size ones - I believe they are the slow flow teats.

Are you holding it so that air can easily escape while drinking? I wouldn’t change the flow just because of this.

I bottle fed DS and it was at least a year after I stopped feeding him that I learnt that there were different sized teats. It hasn't seem to have done DS any harm although I probably should have realised it sooner!

It doesn’t matter how I hold the bottle it still happens. The only time it doesn’t happen is when I use an anti colic bottle.

Is it the ones with a valve? Have you used your fingers to squeeze the valve open. There are different varieties of TT teats. Which ones are they?

I found medium flow teats when googling but depends which variety you need

Yeah it’s the one with the valve (if I’m thinking of the right ones) and the valves are always open.

im currently using the slow flow teats so I’m guessing I’d have to move onto the medium flow teats 🤷🏼‍♀️

My daughter is 12 weeks and has started to be really fussy with her bottles, she takes the first couple of ounces fine and then cries whenever the bottle is placed back in her mouth. She is currently on the size 2 tommee tippee teats.
