Her story is very heartwrenching but I don't think anyone should be 'guessing' what heather wardle may or may not have done...after all she has cared for her son for 22 years

and given heather wardles other children...
such a sad story. That journalist was very courageous to post that in such a public place.

Very well written, heart breaking - puts things in perspective when I think about some of the things I complain about. Whole situation with Heather Wardle is terribly sad, poor family.

some 14 years go our son was born he wasnt breathing and scored 0 on his pgr they rescisitted him then told us hed be brain damaged with c.p -i was 19 my dh ws older he sat with him all night as i recovered from 17 hour labour with an emergency c section.......theyd given him 12 hours if he could survive ...every hour that ticked past every bleep of the support system keeping our ds son alive brought us nearer to either a infant death or to what some would say a life sentence......he survived and had a brain scan and stayed in scbu.........hes 14 now hes talented and gifted hes not got c.p hes a handsome healthy young man we believed we were blessed that night in august ......having worked in a severe unit for special needs that being my 'niche',dh being a strong 6'2 ex para with my in laws living next door and my best friend being a G.P everyone thought we'd cope - only we knew in the dark recess of the nights we looked at our ds and truly wondered how we would cope? of course people do cope and life does go on most days i see a man of about 50 with his ds in a wheelchair hes in his 20s i see the struggles theyve had his wifes ill helth due to many many sleepless nights when a cold has turned into pneumonia both of them have back and shoulder problems due to lifting he has no friends like him many of them have died,yet they adore their son and wouldnt be without him -his younger sister and her mates all dressed up go round and play their music and dance with him in his chair to let him taste the life that could have been his.

so i too dont judge,i just thank god.

It's very sad and very moving.

But please be ever so ever so careful what you say about Heather and her son with people in custody.
