6 month old pimples/blisters??

6 month old DS has a few pimples / blisters that have appeared today - a couple on feet and on arms. He seems happy and well in himself and not itching them?? They definitely look like spots / pimples not a rash

Could it be chicken pox? Is he in nursery?

Not in nursery, he goes to a couple of baby classes but not in close contact with others … Obviously wanting to make sure he is okay but didn’t want to overreact, if it’s something straightforward I can take him to GP for on Monday

I do think it looks very chicken pox like, I think if he’s well within himself I wouldn’t be worrying & would hold out until Monday & just keep an eye on him & if you’re worried you can always call 111 & see what they advise.

Does look like the start of chicken pox, can be mild when so young. But if not it doesn't look serious, especially if he's otherwise well.

My five month old just had something similar and it was hand foot and mouth disease (Coxsackie virus). She started with just one or two pimples round her mouth, then hands, then feet. I've added pictures of the spots when they first appeared and the blisters they turned in to after a couple of days.

Then a couple of days after her spots appeared, I started feeling like death warmed up and got some spots on my fingers and toes myself! It spreads very easily and it's going around all the little ones in my area.

Hand foot and mouth is going around like wildfire in our area.
