Vomitting for 8 days so far!

Our little boy (8 months old) is poorly and it just seems never ending. I am so worried. Has anyone experienced sickness in a baby this long that's just a bug?

Friday 4/10 sick after morning and evening bottle, wingey but then a tooth popped up that weekend so assumed sickness was down to this.

Thursday 10/10 sick morning bottle
Friday 11/10 sick morning and evening bottle and very whingey
Saturday 12/10 very sick from the evenings and has been vomiting since. It's now afternoon Friday 18/10.

From Saturday he was very very sleepy which has now improved, vomits can be straight after milk but sometimes half and hour later or even hours when waking!! It's been one/two vomits a day the last two days previously it was worse. We are pace feeding milk (a lot smaller bottles) and offering solids,

We have taken him to emergency twice due to no wet nappies. The last time they did some checks and urine test but just said it was a bug waiting to pass. Me and his dad also have vomited and felt unwell but this seems such a long time for him.

I asked at what point we should bring him back but they said if it gets worse or he has a temp.
He has never had a temp through this all and no diarrhoea through this (his dad did have diarrhoea)

thanks in advance for any responses!

After 8 days I'd be bringing him back ASAP or making an emergency appointment with the GP (hopefully your surgery are quick to see children) - hope he's on the mend soon x

Did you manage to get him seen by a GP today @BobbyDazzler11? Flowers

We had this when DD was about 11 months and she started childcare when I went back to work. It lingered for at least a fortnight and I'd never come across anything like it before . It was the start of a horrible winter of constant illness(sorry op I know you don't want to hear that).

Hi OP.

Anymore updates? DD (10m) started nursery in September and has had this on and off for a few days. Had a good few days of no vomiting but today she was sick again.

It's making me so worried. Hope it's just a bug of some sort.

Thanks

Hello!
Sorry you are dealing with this too. We were sent for an urgent ultrasound and found he has mesenteric adenitits, likely caused by the bug. So swollen lymph nodes .
This is causing him to still be sick but just sometimes and is suppose to resolve itself. We were told just to give paracetamol if he's uncomfy poor thing.
Hope your little one feels better soon! I was also so worried!!

Just wanted to say I'm so glad it was nothing more serious in the end. I, too, would have been worried sick! Take care x
