Starting to freak out about working FT

I currently do 4 days a week, the one day I have off I will use to totally blitz the house after spending time with my 2yo. When he starts his half days in school, I am going to increase to 5 days.

I use my day off to do a lot of the tidying and cleaning and am beginning to stress about how to fit it all in! I fear I am losing any hope of down time also!

That’s not even to say about the increase in comments about how “it’s a long day” for the kids with the after school clubs (DS4 loves it - furious if he’s not the last kid there). They will be in additional childcare three times a week.

Can any FT working mums give me any reassurance? How do you manage?

My DH is brilliant btw, he does all the mental load of food shopping, cooking and finances.

If you can afford it get a cleaner.

Yes, that was a condition of me taking the extra day. I just hope it’ll be tidy enough when they come!
