New sibling and relationship with eldest / parental preference

My relationship with my eldest (ds3.5) has really suffered since having my dd (just 1). He’s very high energy so I’ve been like a night club bouncer protecting my daughter, and I’ve not been able to do bedtimes since she was born because their bedtimes clashed and she would scream if my dh tried to do it. Im gutted because we were so close before, now he wants my dh for everything, and won’t let me do bedtimes (or many other things) either. We’ve tried many times and he will let me read a book maybe or two but it’s like he’s doing me a favour, he’s not keen, and then he has a big meltdown :( I really want to build our relationship up again, any ideas? We’re going to start regular weekend 1:1 time with each of them, as we don’t get that at all now. I’m glad he’s close with my husband as it used to be me for everything but my heart hurts for how distant I feel we are.
