Cow's milk and toddler

Hi,

My DD will be 2yo next month. I exclusively breastfed until she started solids and we have continued bf although my supply is now very low so it's more for comfort only at night so basically she never had cows milk/formula. Since weaning she had small amounts of dairy (a yogurt, some cheese, some milk in porridge) and never noticed any effects. I very recently introduced a cup of milk and she has been having days of noo poo or loose stools, yesterday she asked for another cup (so two cups of whole fat cow's milk) and straight after she had 3 nappies of very loose stool so I finally realised she may be having a reaction to the milk. Has anyone experienced that? Could this be she is just getting used to having milk all of a sudden or would this be an intolerance? I would like for her to have milk but of course only if it's not harming her.

It could just be her getting used to having cows milk but keep an eye on it. If you think it's straying into CMPA you can always talk to Allergy UK Wink

Thank you. So there can be a transition like this then... I will definitely keep and eye though!
