My 5 year old has been watching a cartoon called "Simon" which has been graded as a "U" so should be fine for him. I remember listening to some early episodes and it was absolutely fine. Recently my son has been having emotional outbursts and it's come to light the stuff he says whilst having these outbursts is directly from this cartoon
I listened to an episode he was watching the other day and it was full of "I'm not talking to you/I don't care/ stomping off and blowing raspberries etc.
There was another cartoon where the character told another to "shut up" - a huge bug bear comment of mine, it's so horrible to say that to someone. So obviously I switched that one off straight away
But..i just think it's bad form for writers to produce crap like this for young kids.
Same for me and DH - we've been watching "industry" on the iPlayer and i got so fed up of it just constant drug talking, bitchiness, sex swapping partners - this is what teens will learn from and think this kind of behaviour is normal!
Not really asking anything here, more just an observation.
