My lo has just turned 2 & over the coming months I would like to start toilet training.Im just wondering as to whether to buy a plastic potty or trainer toilet seat? I was thinking that if I buy a potty I will then have to get her used to the toilet eventually. Any tips please

I would say both and then let her choose/change her mind/not use either of them (ever the pessimist but still trying and DS is 3.1) at 2 I think she would find the potty easier.

i trained my dd1 at 2.2years and she started with a potty, fell down mil loo, so took about 4 months to use a loo again! but needed pottys all round the house to start with.

we started training ds1 who is 2.2 years as well, about two weeks ago, i said we rather he trained himself, i wanted to wait till the summer and he decided to wait till it snowed!!! but touch wood doing really well.

so my advice is to ask your lo what they want and keep both options open, its best if they can use both.
