What can I do for my 2 yo’s bday in November?!
everything seems to be closed (Alton towers, Drayton manor etc..)
looking for a midlands venue due to being pregnant and due soon after.

If they’re two I’d do something very low key. I’ve found at that age they love a party in the kitchen with flashing lights, balloons and blowing the candles out about 28 times.

Is there a local farm that has a big softplay / indoor space in case of bad weather?
Normal softplay?
Trampolining (although you cant if you are pregnant)
Swimming at a larger venue - Coventry have The Wave and Stoke has Waterworld (? i think)

I don’t think Alton Towers would be remotely suitable for a 2 year old even if it were open.

Farm? Small soft play? Zoo? A two year old isn't going to get much from Alton Towers.

Hoppinggreen · 09/10/2024 09:39

Not sure how much a 2 year old would enjoy Alton Towers anyway

Spudthespanner · 09/10/2024 09:40

Cake, balloons, and a cardboard box 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hatton Country World

Although it does depend where in midlands you are.

Yes we used to have a 'disco in the dark' and get loads of glow up stuff, turn the lights off and dance. It was extremely fun. In fact I might make her do this again this year for her 15th.

EngineEngineNumber9 · 09/10/2024 09:43

He’ll be two. Can you remember what you did on your second birthday?! I certainly can’t. Don’t stress about it until he’s at least 4/5!

Chenanceau · 09/10/2024 09:45

Ah mine has a birthday in that closed period when everywhere is getting ready for Xmas as well. It’s annoying. When she was 2 we went to Peppa Pig world so maybe that is open? We have also done the science museum which has an excellent play area in the basement and as others have said soft plays are normally still open.

Exactly!

The sea life centre is great at that age!

CCLCECSC · 09/10/2024 13:59

Sea Life Centre bham or The Deep @ Hull depending which you are closer to.

Twycross zoo will be open; has a gruffulo exhibit and massive indoor soft play
