Hi all, my niece is coming to stay for just one night I have the obaby stamford cot bed for my daughter that turns into a toddler bed, would a 5 y/o be ok in this for just a night or would I be better getting an airbed?

Yes, she'll be fine - the mattress is 140cm long. Might be a bit of a faff to change the cot to a toddler bed though, some of them are easier than others.

Instead of an air bed , could she not just sleep on the mattress of the cot bed ?....
I mean put the mattress on the floor ?

Yes DC1 was still using her cot bed at age 5, she could sleep fully stretched out.

As PP says a cot bed is 140cm tall and I doubt she’s anything close to that e.g. my average sized 7YO is 125cm so it’ll be fine.

Totally fine unless she is really tall. Mine slept in a toddler bed until he was 6 because we just didn’t have the space for a single bed at the time.

You mean as a toddler bed, not a cot?
