I’m so lonely

Exactly that really… I’ve never posted on a forum until now but I am so lonely. I have a toddler and school age children and I work. But it still leaves chunks of time where I wish I had more friends. I spend almost all day every day on my own with hardly any friends I can meet up with for coffee, where are adults meant to make new friends without feeling/sounding like a desperate saddo 😞

Sorry you feel this way, I know from experience it’s not nice.
You say you have a toddler, can you make any parent and toddler groups? All it takes is attending g a few of those, getting to know the faces and being brave enough to ask if anyone wants to meet for a coffee later that week.
do you get any evenings at home free? Post on your local town Facebook group and see if there are book groups etc to get involved in. The people who I’ve seen put themselves out there to try and meet new people always get a really warm response.

I don't have many friends but I don't need to spend all the day time on my own. Do you have any places to visit that you can go to on your own? My toddler is in nursery and while she's there I like to get out to places like galleries and exhibitions, historic houses, doing a yoga or art class or visiting a nice part of town and browsing shops. I like being out and about even if I'm on my own. In our area there are community places where you can meet people to chat as well like a Community Cafe and community groups.

What are your interests?
How much time do you have?
Do you have evenings free?

Womens circle groups are all around the country and are social groups for women of all ages
The local theatre might do a solos group where they use the function room for people attending solo to go to before and during the show to chat.

Hobby groups am drama / ramblers / park run can often move into a pub/ cafe afterwards
