Hi I’ve got two boys 6 and 4, the reason for my post is my eldest is such a lovely sweet boy but very sensitive. I don’t see it as a problem but I worry about the other kids at his school starting to pick up on it and it potentially leading bullying further down the line which would just break my heart. He’s quiet and shy, doesn’t overly like contact sports which I’m fine with I just fell like his group of friends have started to leave him out of things and all joining sports clubs now. Basically I’d never say to him “man up” or words to that effect but I’d like to try and boost his confidence so that maybe he’d join in a bit more and not be excluded. Honestly he’s the sweetest guy and love him so much so just want to protect him and help him wherever I can, anyone’s else experienced similar or got any tips. Thanks

Help him find his people then. Drama club, Lego club, art club?

Following along as my eldest is exactly the same! She is also very prone to emotional outbursts of tears when even slightly upset or angered. Sweetest soul ever but I'd like her to be ready for this tough world a bit more.

Let him try thing to find interests. Help him by setting up play dates with the kids he has fun and is comfortable with
