Sleep advice 14mo - I've lost my way!

DC2 is 14mo.

I didn't breastfeed DC1 so I don't have a blueprint for this.

We HAD reduced breastfeeding down to a few minutes after a bedtime bottle just to get her fully to sleep, and then sometimes I need to do the same after a bottle in the night.

But it's not working anymore, I have excruciating breastfeeding aversion AND she is not settling - it's taking over an hour to get her to sleep and she wakes up in the night for lengthy periods sometimes.

I am exhausted, my husband's at his wits end, and even my older toddler is annoyed at being woken up.

What can I do? I can't stomach cry it out.

I could go cold turkey on breastfeeding, will that help her sleep? I have no idea what I'm going anymore.

I need a plan, but I'm so tired I can't figure it out.

Any help much appreciated! Also willing to pay for a sleep consultant if anyone has a recommendation x

So at the moment is she feeding frequently through the night and still not settling? Or are you trying to not feed and then she's getting mad? What worked well for some wake ups with both of mine was an emergency banana - sometimes they were genuinely hungry. If not then I also knew they weren't hungry and it made it easy to persevere with cuddles instead of trying boob.

Thank you for replying.

At the moment the real bug bear is that she will wake up just as my head hits the pillow around 10pm, take ages to go back to sleep and then again around 1am.

She can then sometimes wake up and not get back to sleep from 4:30am!

I feel like she would be furious if I tried to give her a banana in the night 😂 but I will try as she does guzzle her milk!

I also really have no way to reliably settle her without a boob, and it seems impossible that she would ever get in to a deep enough sleep to put her down just by rocking or singing.
