DS has started reception and im having second thoughts about his school. We had the option of two. We are in N.I so school system here is a bit different they are either church run (Catholic) or state run (Protestant) or Integrated (both religions together, state run). We have a Catholic background though non practicing and we are both Atheists now.

Our first choice is an integrated, local, walkable, seems friendly, a bit more old school, predominantly protestant but mixed. DS has settled well and has friends. My concern is that statistically the children do less well in exams, less likely to go to Grammar, it doesn't do many events or fun days for the children and I feel its a bit behind with technology etc

Our second choice was a Catholic school, less close but still walkable, it would have excellent ofsted reports and the children are more likely to go to a grammar school, it seems more modern and has more funding as it gets money from the Church as well as government. They also do more events at the school and seems to have more things happening for example an end of year show for the parents etc

Im starting to regret my decision but my DH is reluctant to move him if hes settled and has friends. AM i being unreasonable to consider moving him now? Will I feel better in a year or two
