DD4 has a bit of a soft spot for halloween. Last year she was so excited for her outfit and she says this and christmas are her favourite times of year! So we’re making the last couple of weeks in October ‘halloween season’ around here and getting some ‘spooktacular’ entertainment on.

On the list we’ve got Vampirina on Disney+, Gabby’s Dollhouse and Bluey have a couple of halloween episodes. She’s too young for Hocus Pocus (although I am counting down until we can share that gem!) but what else could I add to the list? Anything your young kiddos liked that wasn’t too scary?

Thank you 🎃

Nightmare Before Christmas maybe? Watch it yourself first to decide if she would find it scary because I think it would very much depend on the child.

The hotel Transylvania films are good too, not scary

@Button28384738 Nightmare Before Christmas might be a bit borderline I think. Might hold that one back until next year just in case. Hotel Transylvania is a good shout, thanks!

@pinksavannah I loved Casper as a kid! Definitely going on the list. Thank you for the other suggestions too

Bedknobs and Broomsticks? The Little Vampire? Spirited Away?

My 4yo daughter loves Super Monsters.

She also loves Monster High - it's not scary but maybe a bit too grown up (they're supposed to be teenage monsters I think).

I think there's a Charlie Brown / Peanuts Halloween movie if you fancy something retro!

BlackOrangeFrog · 02/10/2024 11:50

Steve and Maggie have a few Halloween episodes.

Definitely this!

The Book of Life (also an opportunity to talk about how Mexican people celebrate their ancestors on Halloween/Day of the Dead too).

Double double? The Mary Kate and Ashley one

Prinnny · 02/10/2024 11:54

My DD5 loves hocus pocus especially the second one! They have a couple of Halloween peppa pigs too.

Also not a movie, but the Mickey Mouse funhouse show have some Halloween episodes and a day of the dead episode
