Toddler refusal to do things

Hi
LO is almost 3, has always been fairly confident and keen to join in. Recently has started to refuse to go to places she used to love (playgroups, dancing, toddler groups) at first I thought it was just toddler behaviour and refusing to do things but she gets so worked up at even the mention of going to these places. Instant shift in her mood to almost anxious. Have tried taking her along still and complete hysterics - crying hyperventilating almost being sick type hysteria. Have asked her what’s changed but she doesn’t say just says no.. it’s so sad as she used to love these things & I know if she could get there she would love it once there. And also finding it really isolating. Any ideas how I can help her get past this?
thanks :)

Can you think of anything, however small, that might have scared her at one of these venues? I wonder if playing lots of role play of these things with her teddies or dolls etc might help?

hey - thanks for replying. Not that I can think of. I’ve always been with her at them and not seen anything happen so I’m honestly at a loss. It’s so sad because she absolutely loves it once we’re there I just don’t know what has knocked her confidence so bad :(
