Just panicking a bit my DP just came home from visiting his elderly mum in hospital and got a phone call when he was just home to say she tested positive I'm terrified he will have it now and my 15 week old will get it . I'm assuming all I could do is give paracetamol & ibuprofen for any temp and maybe electrolytes? I'm so annoyed as the hospital clearly knew someone she was next to on the ward had it as they moved her to a room on her own and only tested her late today after having had a load of visitors .

we are going to try stay separate in the house for a few days as much as possible

I'm sorry you are in this situation, and understand your fear. I think your idea of staying separate in the house for a few days is good. However I really don't think you can plan much more than that. The symptoms and severity of covid varies so much from person to person. If your little one does catch it, what she needs will depend on what her symptoms are and how bad they are. She might be a little sniffly and not really need you to give her anything, she might have a fever, you don't know. Boots do a 2 month plus paracetamol, there is also nasal spray, saline drops and vapour oil that can be used to ease congestion from birth.

I don't have much advice but my whole house just came down with covid. Baby was mostly fine except for a mix of a blocked and runny nose. I used saline spray and a nose frida to clear her nose and also put coconut oil under her nose and around it (as I got sore in these areas so thought she might) i took her temp regularly and made sure she was feeding well. Luckily she had the least symptoms out of all of us
