No photos on school app

We used a school app to communicate with the teacher, the teacher also posts photos of things the children have been doing in the week. I've noticed the last two weeks my DS has not had any photos on the app, she normally posts about 20 photos, my mostly small groups some individuals. My DS is the only one not to be featured this week and last week it was my DS and a few others, should I say something? I enjoy seeing the pictures, hes only 5 so dont hear loads from him so its nice way of seeing what they've been doing. Don't want to annoy the teacher but its starting to really upset me

Have you completed the photographic consent form? If you haven’t done it yet, the teacher is probably not allowed to share his image.

Otherwise, maybe wait a week and see if he pops up and then ask if not.

Just to update yes we have definitely signed the consent form as he was featured previously the first week

Maybe a child he plays with a lot hasn’t had photo consent, maybe he keeps sticking his tongue out or pulling daft faces whenever he sees photos being taken, or is shy and tries to avoid photos, maybe it’s just totally random and there will end up being 12 photos of him next week 🤣

I honestly wouldn’t worry about it 😘

It can be really hard to keep track of who has been photographed. We don't have an app but I know at school trips or events I find it difficult to ensure all kids are included in photographs.

Teachers are busy teaching and keeping kids safe. They can’t just be taking loads of photos all the time. It’s a nice bonus to see what he’s up to, but that’s it. I’d say I’m lucky if ds appears in any photos each week. We just ask him about his day instead.

Just be pleased your kid is presumably being given attention without a tablet being shoved in his face
