Facebook - should I be worried

due to my advanced age i know nothing about Facebook but have just been told by my old nanny that my dd1 has been swapping photos with my nanny's contacts via her facebook account.

I doubt that dd1 has been doing this deliberately or knowingly - is it the sort of thing it's possible to do by accident?

we're going to talk to her about it tonight but it would be helpful to be a bit more informed about facebook than I currently am - this is all making me feel very old and technologically obsolete.

swapping photo's?
On facebook you set up a phot album to display your photo's you can limit your security setting so that only YOUR friends can see them.

Your nanny may mean she has been posting pictures and youtube clips on peoples funwalls.

I would advise sitting with her and asking her to show you her account, you can look at the top right of her screen and click on privacy. frmo there you can restrict her account so that only certain people get to see only certain things.
it may make you feel happier.

Or better still....ask her to help you set up your own account. tell her you want to be par of it all. that way she will add you as a friend and you will be able to see what she is posting yourself.

thanks for the reply - we're going to talk to her tonight and your advice seems very sensible.

I'm 99.9% sure that I'm overreacting by being worried but i can't quite get comfortable about it. more information would help so i think you're right that the best thing to do would be to set up my own account.
