Currently in hospital holding my 10 month old DD and feeling shattered but she won’t settle in the cot. She’s had a horrible cold for weeks now and tonight she was really struggling to breathe. Took her to A&E and they said she has bronchiolitis. Oxygen levels were low so she’s been admitted and is currently on oxygen. Just want her to get better!

So sorry. The main thing is she’s in the best place, but what a horrible experience for you. She’s being treated and will be right as rain 🙂

Really feel for you , I had this last year with my newborn and was admitted for over week as he was so poorly with being so little !
The good thing with bronchilitis ( according to my nurses) is that as soon as they start to get better it happens quickly so hopefully your little one will feel better very soon with the help of the oxygen

Oh no! Poor you and poor baby. It’s awful when they’re so poorly and so tiny. My DS was admitted to hospital with suspected meningitis when he 12 weeks old; he’s a smart-arse 13 year-old now but I still remember the strange mixture of fear, exhaustion, loneliness and boredom I felt that first night on the ward.
I hope you and baby are sleeping now.

Aww, that's rubbish! My neice has been hospitalized with the same thing before (at age 3). After a few days they sent her home with inhalers and she's been right as rain ever since. Hope it goes a similar way for your girl! The worst part about them being sick is knowing all you can do is give cuddles; you can't take the illness away

My 3 week old had same from rsv last January. You're in the right place. We were in for 4 days. Baby was on oxygen until 24hrs before discharge as saturation increased. Sending support. 🩷

Hi all,

Thanks for your replies. We are now back home and she is much better. Still coughing and got a slight wheeze but oxygen levels are good and I think she is on the mend!
