I have a 10 month old baby who generally speaking is doing really well. However, I am really concerned about his eating. His weight is fine (more than fine!) so he is clearly getting the calories but they are mostly coming from formula milk. I started weaning him at 6 months, started with purées, added some finger foods later on. We keep offering him a variety of veg, fruit, carbs and protein and he will try it but when it comes to meal times he eats tiny amounts (in comparison to what I am reading babies his age eat). To give an example of what he had yesterday - he had two teaspoons of porridge for breakfast, three tiny cubes of dried fig, for lunch- he had a very small piece of tomato and pepper omelette (I mean probably the size of his hand), dinner was awful and he didn’t touch any food on offer, which was steamed new potato, carrots and broccoli, chicken with some beans. He will munch on toasted bread when we are out and about have a sachet of baby yogurt (I only offer these if we are not at home) but the quantities of healthy food he is having at home are worrying small. I tried reducing his milk but it made zero difference. I am at my wits end thinking we will never wean him off milk at this rate.
Has anyone had a similar problem/ can share a solution? Thank you so much.
