Toddler prefers grandma

It seems like my 25 months old toddler prefers grandma on dad's side rather than mum. I am very grateful they have a special bond but I sometimes wonder what I'm doing so wrong. Shes recently started picking him up from nurserys on Tuesdays for a few hours for tea as i dont get home from college till late. Also he's always slept at hers on weekends since being a few months old (friday 5pm - sunday 5pm) as I'm usually busy with college and work. Everytime she picks my son up, he always runs to her greeting her with kisses and hugs, crys when she has to leave ect. However when it's the other way around he's not bothered he just wants to go with grandma. I don't get kisses and hugs and he doesn't seem bothered he's going. He crys when he comes home, I sometimes wonder why it's so bad at home? We don't get as much time together as we used to, but when we do we always make it special. Playing games, going out, doing activates like swimming ect, watching things together. He's usually got a smile on his face at home, and enjoys our activities. Im constantly trying to be involved. It hurts so much as I'm trying my best in everyway possible. He can't talk at all or communicate much and is on the waiting list for autism. I just want to feel like he actually loves me and looks forward to seeing me. Because I sure miss him so much, and get excited when he comes home.
