Nappies that last through the night?

Baby is 8 months old and sleeping through but we’re having to wake them up (and then feed to go back to sleep) around 2am to change a very wet nappy.

Bedtime is at 8pm and after the 2am break they wake up around 7-8am, nappy is full to bursting.

We’ve tried several different brands, tried sizing up (currently wearing 4+), also a front sleeper which doesn’t help. It’s not that the nappies are moving and then leaking, it’s that they’re so full they can’t take anymore liquid, and god help us if there’s a poop!

Baby wants to sleep through the night (so do we) but this nappy issue is holding us back! I know it’s the bottles, they have a bottle before bed and another at 2am, but they won’t go down without one and aren’t eating enough solid food to do without.

Have you tried:

  1. pull ups, not taped nappies? My DS was a heavy wetter/night feeder/wriggly baby and Tesco pull ups 4+ (and then 5+ and 6+) worked well for us at night;

  2. reusables? You can add an absorbent reusable booster to disposable nappies and a waterproof wrap too. Some people also switch to cloth nappies at night (but I'll admit this didnt work for us, we use cloth during the day and disposables at night).

Have you tried booster inserts? We used those for a while, definitely helped.

Try the pampers premium protection nappy pants. My little one used to be the same and these were the best ones I found

Pull up/nappy pants instead of nappies. And I've always put pampers on them at night and never had any leaks. I know they're ridiculously expensive compared to other nappies but if you just use them over night one pack lasts ages

Pampers baby dry work for us. Also changing the nappy if there is a gap between putting it on and actually sleeping (maybe not at this age if they feed to sleep but we do bottle then books and bed and she has usually done a wee in the time between bottle and bed).

Nappy pants are a lot more absorbent

Another vote for pampers premium protection (purple packaging) nappy pants and in the size up! Never any problems and they're quite often half price in boots with the advantage card

Pampers Baby Dry

My baby boy pees ALOT!
The only ones that worked are ones for boys specifically as I think they have more padding in the area they pee.

I am not in uk but use the Huggies version if you have those available?
