Weaning and getting to sleep!?

So we are weaning 22mo off the breast. Only has it now at night - fed to sleep and back to sleep if any wakes.
usually cries hysterically but we have managed to get passed that.
he has managed 24 hours since a feed
but we are struggling to get him to sleep now - isn’t crying for it, “understands” when we say it’s done and finished but he won’t go to sleep. It’s been 2 hours

any tips?!

Just keep doing what you’re doing. Give him a cuddle, lie down next to him. It will get easier.

Well that's how he's always got to sleep so now he's not sure how to do it! Need to teach a new way. Sing songs, hold his hand, give him a teddy, rock to sleep, read stories, find something new :)

Going well so far. I just get so anxious at bedtime now though 😭
