I have a 10 year old who has started her period. She is very active and enjoys swimming. Can anyone recommend a tampon she could use and swim ?

Wuka do period proof swimming costumes, I love mine. They do teen sizes
Cups can also be used when swimming just a few none tampon options. I struggled with tampons pre aged 16.

You can get very slim tampons but as above period swimwear is great and so user friendly for young girls and teens.

I wouldn’t encourage a 10 year old to wear a tampon.
not only for how strange it may be to them but for the responsibility of ensuring you remove it in a timely manner to prevent tss. Also if you’re tense a tampon isn’t going to go in- if she’s recently started her periods pads are going to be enough to get used to never mind tampons too.
period swimwear would be an option

Another vote for period swimwear. My teen daughter has a period swimming costume from Amazon and it works brilliantly.

Not swimming related, but my teen also uses period pants and washable sanitary towels instead of disposable pads. She says she much prefers the fabric over scratchy paper/plastic pads. She puts the used ones in a small bag until the end of her period, then I put them through a 1hr wash cycle on their own to get most of the blood out and then put them in with a normal washing load to clean them properly. In a lot of ways it is easier than remembering to buy pads!
