In fairness to them, they were both great this morning. But we seem to never get through a day at the moment without one of them having an afternoon meltdown.

If they are tired, hungry or need a wee, it's the end of the world. Honestly, I often find them embarassing as I feel like I have the worst behaved 3yos around, and they are nearly 4!

Would love to hear either:
That I'm not the only one with a preschool that goes bonkers fairly regularly.
Your amazing tips for defusing a meltdown, especially in a public place

My 3.5yo seems to ignore everything I say.

It's 3rd week of school and they had a cold last week so I'm giving benefit of the doubt for their behaviour.
Feels like there's always something up to make them seem whining and feral though. You've listed it well.

They're lovely around other people so I try to get out whenever we can.

My 3.5year old has a melt down every night at tea time. Without fail just becomes hysterical and won't eat for 30 minutes after tea is served.
She helps make it, helps choose what we have and is really keen on it, until it reaches the table and then for some unknown reason she just loses it. Cries for 30 minutes on and off and then eats it like nothing has happened 🤷‍♀️
