My 12th month old boy who.was walking perfectly and now does not after being vaccinated on 16th Sep 1pm. His right left is fine. But he starts crying on putting his left leg. We went to GP and no feedback given. Can anyone share what was outcome for those who went to A& E? Should I still wait for few more days?
He can crawl little bit but doesn't walk. I am too much worried 😟
Need help

Give him painkillers. This is not unusual

My 12 month old wasn't walking at the time.of jabs but was pulling to stand/standing, I noticed the morning after her jabs she didn't stand up in her cot which was unusual and she was crying, legs shaking and unable to stand as normal. I gave Calpol and that helped, it soon passed by the following day. I hope your boy is soon more comfortable

That happened to mine after 12 month vaccines. He was walking beforehand but the day after he was dragging one leg and wasn't very mobile. Took him to GP and was told it was post vaccine/viral irritable hip and to give Calpol. Disappeared in a couple of days.

Thanks! I gave him calpol 4 dosage with interval of 5hrs but it seems no luck. Hopefully he should be better tomorrow morning.

Yes, it’s a thing. It’s a type of reactive arthritis the GP told me when mine had it. He went from walking normally to not being able to bear any weight at all. He couldn’t even move his hip joints in order to lie flat to sleep (I had to sit up and hold him all night in shifts with Dh). It’s just an inflammation of the joints because of the immune response.

He was fine again in about 48 hours and it never happened with any of his jabs since.
