What do you do with LEGO?!

Please could someone enlighten me as to what you're meant to do
With LEGO once you've made it? Do you break it up and rebuild it, put it on a shelf and look at your creation...I'm seriously lost with it!

Do what you want!

  • Build it, and play with it. Or...
  • Build it and admire it forever. Or...
  • Build it, take a picture, and then break it up and put the pieces in the big mixed LEGO-box, to build new things from your own imagination.

My DS builds and puts it on display now he's older. When he was younger he would actually play with it if it was a set such as a police station or if it's just random bricks he would build what ever he wanted such as a house or a car

It's displayed for a while until ds no longer wanting it on display. Then it gets bagged and stored with the instructions.

We also have lots of loose Lego for creative builds.

We have a huge box of build your own imagination lego and several models on display mostly VW camper vans, James bond cars etc and we've just started collecting the ornamental flowers!

I've also been wondering this. We have got it stored built at the moment but he never plays with it so I have been thinking of breaking them all up so he can build his own things! Not sure!

After we accumulated a fair bit, we got a few large clear boxes, and broke it down so that we had one box with all the Star Wars Lego, one with all the superhero type Lego, one with all the technic, one with all the ninjago, one with the Lego city etc. So they could just build random creations but within a theme, and if they wanted to make a set again the pieces were all in there.
