Play ideas for 6 month old

Baby is nearly 6 months old and I'm struggling to think of new things to do to keep him entertained now he's awake more.

We spend at least an hour out of the house almost every day, walking, shopping, going for coffee, visiting a friend and baby sensory once a week but when at home I'm worried he's getting bored as he seems restless. His favourite thing right now is his baby gym but I know it's not long until he'll out grow it.

Any suggestions appreciated.

My baby is 5 months old and we read books, she watches me do household things in the carrier, we do sensory play at home, we practice sitting/crawling movement/rolling movement, we just sit and I talk to her, she had loads of toys which she’s really interested in now and I rotate them every few days so she doesn’t get bored, we practice grabbing and reaching, she had a seat with toys on the tray infront which she loves, I’ve started putting her in her highchair and just letting her hold the spoons etc and get used to picking them up and putting them in her mouth, we sing & dance, we go to baby sensory once a week, do a baby swim class once a week and then we also do a baby yoga class. It’s just a case of rotating activities and trying to keep her happy! X

My girl has just turned 6 months and we are finally starting to get out more. We go to a couple of baby groups during the week (sensory and interactive story time). I take her to the library on the bus. There is a baby swing in the park that she loves (I hold onto her the whole time and go soooo slowly but she still squeals with joy!). I've taken her to the aquarium, the Pulse exhibition London, we go for a run in the pushchair most days. Most of the stuff we do is free. I don't try to entertain her all day. Sometimes I'll plonk her in the middle of her floor and let her play with her toys whilst I get a few things done. I think that's okay to.
