Background noise for 7 week old baby

Learningdaybyday · 09/09/2024 21:41

I'm looking for suggestions for background noise that my baby can listen to when in his bouncer and I'm pottering around the house.
I've had suggestions of things like cocomelon but DS isn't at that stage of alertness yet.
We have access to netflix, prime and Disney.
Any help would be appreciated. Tyia.

Just stick on the radio if you want to. Classic FM or something. But the background noise will be you pottering about. At 7 weeks old, you'll be in the room together the majority of the time anyway and I just watched TV etc as normal.

My youngest loved (and still loves) nature sounds especially rain/water

Try Radio 4?

DS loved listening to Lady Gaga and Katy Perry when he was a tiny baby.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I have put the radio on via Alexa and baby didn't seem to fuss. I'll take that as a win 🤣.

Definitely not screens or TV. Just chatting to him is the best thing you can do.

I was hesitant about TV, it's just I'm not a big talker and I run out of things to say, my DH is much better at the babble talk with baby. The radio suggestions were great, while I am pottering around baby still hears me singing (poor baby) so knows I'm still around and it breaks up the day a bit.
