Hi guys. So my ex partner has previously abused my child - I have it on audio as I recorded the whole ordeal ( I had a feeling he was going to hit me which he did but also caught the act of him hitting my
Little one) who was 2/3 at the time. I have left my ex partner due to the abuse and was wondering what it would look like in court. In the audio he's telling me he will doscipline my child and being really really nasty to her- making her cry and counting down form 10 to 1 to Instill fear. He did hit her in the audio and then when I told him to stop he started hitting me in front of her and she can be heard screaming and crying in the back. If I was to show this to the police/ court what would happen. Would he still get custody as even tho it was 2 years ago I don't feel safe leaving my child with him

Hi OP. Very sorry to hear about your situation. You did the right thing to leave! Its impossible to say what would happen without hearing the audio/knowing the full details. If you have any evidence of the abuse I would definitely be sharing that with the police. Wish you all the best

What's happened in the last 2 years? Have you continued living with him?
