14 month old throwing food/not eating much

My 14 month old is throwing lots of food on the floor atm and not really eating a lot. When he throws food I say no once and then ignore it, clean up and throw away so I wouldn't say he necessarily gets a reaction out of me. I'm then not sure whether to offer something else or not as I want him to eat and worry he's not eating enough but then also don't want to get into the habit of him only eating certain things. On his plate I will put foods that I know he will eat/he likes along with something new. I'm getting him weighed this week so will see what HV says but wondered what other people do in this situation? Forgot to add he feeds himself!

He will be fine.
He wont starve himself.
Sit him next to you when you eat offer him small amounts.
