How does the FIU within the CMS work?

I have had to go to the FIU within the CMS to investigate my ex's assets.

They told me it will take around 3 months to complete. I get their decision next month.

Does anyone know how they investigate this? Do they contact my ex?

He is suddenly not replying to my messages and I am wondering if he has realised what I have decided to do. He was mentally abusive so silent treatment was the norm.

Its very unusual for him to not reply at all.

Any advice?

Following. My case is currently with FIU now. They are in the process of investigating and they wrote out to my ex a few days ago. Happy to come back and update with the end results OP.
